Behind the Scenes: What Really Happened in Granada
Granada wasn’t just a backdrop, it was a feeling. A slow breath. An exhale. A creative reset wrapped in color, culture, and connection.
We returned to Nicaragua with one mission: to create a space where fashion creatives could step out of the pressure, slow down, and see themselves again.
From the moment the villa doors opened, everything shifted. Models stepped into sunlit courtyards, photographers unpacked their gear with intention, and you could feel everyone’s shoulders drop just a little. Within hours, strangers became collaborators. And by day two, collaborators became family.
Shoots weren’t rushed. We explored Granada’s vibrant streets, quiet museums, a volcano, and tree-lined lagoon with ease. Every location felt like it was waiting just for us.
But the real magic? It showed up when our amazing team of Wellness Practitioners allowed our attendees to be vulnerable. Lea Barnard Wellness, Spiritual Untangling by Hilda, and Dr. Cre Dye Yoga left everyone saying, “I needed this!”
This retreat wasn’t a vacation. It was a reminder:
When you slow down, your creativity catches up.
We left with new images, new friendships, and a new understanding of how powerful intentional rest can be.
And yes… we’re already planning the next one.
Stay tuned.
How a Retreat Can Transform Your Creative Confidence
Creative confidence doesn’t return through force. It returns through space. So many photographers, models, and stylists walk into our retreats feeling burnt out, unsure, or disconnected from the version of themselves that once felt unstoppable. And the moment they step into Retreat by Brotherjunior, something shifts.
Here’s why:
01 — You’re surrounded by people who get it.
Not people who ask, “So… what do you actually do?” But people who understand lighting setups, posing, styling, storytelling, and deadlines. That alone is healing.
02 — You get to experiment without the fear of failing.
Our retreats are not competitions. They're playgrounds. Try new ideas. Retry things you thought you weren’t good at. Build your confidence through practice, not pressure.
03 — You’re inspired by the environment.
Granada’s colors, textures, light, culture — everything became part of the story. Inspiration wasn’t forced; it was everywhere.
04 — You create portfolio images that elevate your brand.
You leave with content that makes people stop scrolling. Images that actually look like the brand you want to become.
05 — You remember why you started.
Somewhere between the shoots, the conversations, the meals, and the laughter, that spark returns. Creative confidence isn’t something you chase. It’s something you uncover — when you’re in the right room, with the right people, in the right environment.
And at our retreats, that confidence comes back home with you.
